Antoinette Cooper
Born in Jamaica and raised in Harlem and the Bronx, Antoinette invites you to her birthland for a ceremonial gathering for individual and ancestral healing. Growing up in communities grappling with intergenerational traumas, Antoinette was always curious about the possibility of healing within her home and culture. After severe physical illness and life-saving surgery, she turned to indigenous wisdom, ancestral reverence, and plant medicine. This shift allowed her to reconnect with her body and free herself from the cycle of emergency room visits. Now, as a dedicated medicine woman, Antoinette brings over two decades in education, immersive study in healing collective trauma, somatic writing, trauma-integrated facilitation, intuitive guidance, and ceremonial practices to the sanctuary spaces she creates for Black healing. She holds a BA from Cornell and an MFA from Columbia.

Timmie Larode
Timmie Larode, daughter of Olive and Leon Larode, was born in Trinidad and Tobago. Her journey began in the womb, where her mother, while pregnant, spent her days in the church assisting and praying. As the middle child of eight siblings, Timmie witnessed her mother care for the sick in their village, offering spiritual baths, back cupping, and prayers. Inspired by her mother, Timmie longed to follow in her footsteps. At 13, Timmie moved to the USA, where her life took a different path. She worked in the fashion industry for many years but felt a deeper calling. In the later years of her corporate career, she began offering shamanic meditation and became certified in Reiki. From 2017 to 2021, Timmie embraced her calling as a ceremonialist, facilitator, and medicine carrier. She became a certified holistic birth doula, shamanic reiki practitioner, and recently a Tobaquera. Timmie believes that healing through pain allows us to serve others deeply, holding space with presence as the deepest medicine.
